Toward a Regenerative Rurality

In a global context marked by rural exodus, economic vulnerability, and environmental upheavals, rural territories are now emerging as essential levers for reinventing resilience, solidarity, and sustainability. Long relegated to the status of functional peripheries, rural areas must now be recognized as living environments, carrying concrete alternatives to dominant development models, whether urban or industrialized.

It is with this perspective that the present call for projects for the regeneration of rural networks in Bécal is launched. While this call centers on Bécal, an emblematic locality of rural Mexico nestled in the heart of Campeche State, it aims to serve as a theoretical and reflexive case study.
